I lost my son carl last year on the 5th august 2006. he was 38years old. he was a builder by trade and owned his own business. he was born and bred in rotherham. He was married to Catherine for 18years and has a daughter Jemma, who is 15. He has a brother and a sister.
He had Mantle Cell lymphoma which is an aggressive form of cancer.
He had a wicked sense of humour, sometimes you was not sure if he was serious or joking. He was well respected by other business men. His friends and employees loved him. He liked to go down town drinking at a weekend and meet up with his mates and anyone who wanted to join in as everyone knew where to find him. He was game for a laugh and if there was a fancy dress party he liked to dress up outrageously.

Maxine - I read your tribute to your son Carl and wanted to extend my deepest sympathies to you and his wife and daughter. What a tragic loss of a vibrant and clearly very loving and popular person. No words can ever bring any comfort to the loved one's left behind but from what you have written - Carl has left you all with so many wonderful, warm and funny memories - yours to treasure forever. I pray that you and especially Jemma, have the strength to carry on each day and cope with your loss. God will keep Carl safe and loved for you all and will cherish him for you. God bless......
